Who Is Act Suitable For?

I don’t  categorise individuals’ needs according to issues because I work with people, not diagnoses and believe that a successful outcome is best achieved through tailoring differing psychological techniques & practices according to individual need.

My Commitment To The Client

I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I am committed to maintaining high standards. I adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy published by the BACP.

In Addition I Endeavour To:

  • Provide the highest level of competent professional service
  • Treat clients with respect and without discrimination
  • Provide a clear explanation about the services provided prior to the service commencing and as it progresses
  • Establish client goals collaboratively
  • Share a range of proven, effective strategies and techniques that embrace ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help achieve stated goals
  • Explain the nature and limits of confidentiality surrounding the service and keep all records and information confidential within the limits of confidentiality
  • Provide referral information to a client if additional support is required
  • Undertake periodic professional counselling supervision
  • Undertake continuing professional development each year

I am currently no longer practising privately, due to other work commitments.

However, I will be developing and delivering group and workshop programmes in the near future, which will be advertised in the Workshop section on this website.  Please look out for forthcoming events.
